Having 'Collision Damages Waiver' through your Credit Card Company may help with your price? Does the card you will be using offer this with your plan? *If yes, we will need a written statement from them stating they cover Collision in Costa Rica.

IVA tax, and Third Party Liability Insurance is mandatory in Costa Rica. This insurance can only be purchased in Costa Rica.* (Required) Check that you are aware. Credit Card companies offer Collision Damages Waivers which protects the rental car. It does not cover other vehicles involved, which is required by Costa Rica Law.
