Probably the most popular location to find prostitutes in San José, is in a local hotel/casino called the ‘Hotel Del Rey.’ Take my word- there’s plenty to choose from. However, the Hotel Del Rey gets raided from time to time; not to hassle you the customer, but because many of the prostitutes that work there are illegal prostitutes, many from- Nicaragua, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic. Girls from Panama, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Russia and Romania can also be found. Costa Rican girls (Ticas) are actually in the minority now. According to the Immigration Police, most working prostitutes are between 20 and 35 years and work in the adult clubs in Jacó, Puntarenas and San José. Just so you know.

Massage parlors that cater exclusively to foreigners are also abundant in Costa Rica, mostly in San José.
